Chequered Line of Land and Water
During a recent visit to the little island of Guernsey, I came across an undeniable opportunity to document a few inspired moments of humanity interacting with mother earth. Ben Evans just happened to be experiencing this at the heart of it, and I'm glad that I got to image this. There was something about water crashing onto rocks and Ben standing on the chequered line of land and water that brought the whole encounter to life - something my senses couldn't ignore.
And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so. God called the dry ground "land", and the gathered waters he called "seas". And God saw that it was good.
